Nine by Cardassian officers, where she becomes a mistress of Gul Dukat. Kira's father
tells her and all others that Meru has died because of malnutrition. |

Kira's mother dies in a Cardassian
hospital. Nerys doesn't know anything about it at that time, but thinks her mother has
been dead for seven years. |

After 12 year old Kira has been
recruited by Loret Akrem, she joins the Bajoran resistance cell Shakaar. |

Occupation of Bajor and the Shakaar resistance cell, Kira is appointed major as a member
of the Bajoran Military, and becomes Bajoran liaison on the space station Terok Nor, now
administered by the Federation under the name "Deep Space Nine". |

give birth to Keiko O'Brien's baby when the life of Mrs. O'Brien and her unborn child is
in peril after an accident. |

Kira Nerys is appointed Starfleet officer and commander by Capt. Sisko and Starfleet
