Description |
The Sovereign class Captain's
yacht was introduced in the late 24th century together with the first Sovereign class
vessel. This small ship, sometimes referred to as the "ship's boat," fits
perfectly into the lower surface of the saucer section. The yacht is only separated
when necessary, particularly for diplomatic missions. In contrast to usual shuttles it is relatively big - nearly
twice as large as the Danube class. The Sovereign class Captain's yacht is the first one to have
genuine external nacelles, while former models were equipped with integrated warp
nacelles. The nacelles are hidden during docking in the main section, but are extended
during flight. |
